Having spent summer using soft pastels to create  delicate images, I've recently dived into use of much heavier texture in my wax pieces. 

 This growing series  uses the building up and carving back of wax layers to suggest deep, verdant undergrowth with strong colours and the juxtaposition of dark and gold leaf providing visual depth. These flowers are sumptuous, opulent and self-confident. Surely a world as beautiful as this one deserves that we look after it better?
